Students don’t always have a ton of downtime, but when they do finding activities to spend it on can be difficult. Limited budgets only add to the difficulty. Luckily, Erie has you covered with plenty of low-cost or free options for students. If you know where to look, there are events for every interest.

Erie County Public Library

The Erie County Public Library contains more than books and movies. There are plenty of things you can do for free. You can borrow fishing supplies, visit the maritime museum, learn languages online and even take Qigong classes. For more info, check out erielibrary.org.

Erie Art Museum

If exercise and relaxation are more your thing, try the free yoga classes on Friday evenings at the Erie Art Museum. While you’re at there, take a look around the museum’s many unique exhibits. More information on yoga classes and the museum is available at artofyogaerie.com and erieartmuseum.org.

Bicentennial Tower

Interested in sightseeing? It’s free to go to the top of the Bicentennial Tower on the first Sunday of every month (excluding holidays).
