I think it’s R…Note to self: Look up soil horizons before the test tomorrow…Ugh, I shouldn’t have eaten that leftover pizza…I really need to go grocery shopping…How much money do I have in my bank account? …When is my rent check due? …I haven’t seen my checkbook in ages…I’ll clean my apartment tomorrow…But before that I have to write my ethics paper…”

So goes my internal monologue each night. Not surprisingly, all this worrying over assignments and deadlines can make it hard to fall asleep.

The answer: music. Calming, low-key, slightly melancholic music. For those of you who, like me, struggle to ease your mind before bed, I’ve compiled the following playlist. (Or you can just put that “Somewhere over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World” ukulele medley on repeat. That works, too.)
