The Introduction to Photography class, taught by Director of the Schuster Art Gallery Lori Steadman, is a course that introduces students to the craft and art of photography using only black and white chemistry. Students learn to use a 35 mm SLR camera, how to develop black and white film and how to print enlargements. Each week, students spend time in Gannon’s darkroom, located in the basement of the Palumbo Academic Center, developing film and prints.
