The warm weather in Erie is making many students anxious for spring break, even though it is still three weeks away. Here’s what several students are planning to do with their time off:

Samantha Heller, freshman chemistry/pre-pharmacy major:
I’m spending my spring break working at my part-time job at Wegman’s – the greatest grocery store in Erie – so that I can earn some money. That way I can go shopping, grab coffee and catch up with my friends who go to other colleges.
  Natalie Pertz, sophomore theatre major:
I get to go to Nashville, Tenn. to visit my sister at Vanderbilt University with my mom and dad.
  Conor Grey, sophomore biology/pre-med major:
I plan on going home to Nashville, Tenn. to visit my family and friends. A lot of that time I’m going to spend planning my summer trip to Italy.
Landis Erwin, senior journalism communications major/leadership minor:
Over spring break, I will be in Erie practicing for my first game of the season with Erie Explosion.
  Gavin Linsell, freshman marketing major:
I’m visiting Florida for the first time with some of my teammates. We’re going to Fort Lauderdale to soak up some sunshine that I so dearly miss from home in Johannesburg City, South Africa.

It’s not all sun and relaxation for some Gannon students. Gannon offers Alternative Break Service Trips where students volunteer for break. Here are some students preparing for that trip.
