Edge is looking for high school students to join our new High School Network, in which students like you act as correspondents. These correspondents will be able to sharpen and demonstrate their writing skills while giving us an inside look at their high school experiences.

If you enjoy writing and/or taking pictures and want to see your work published on Edge, read on.

Correspondents will contribute to two new features on Edge:

HIGH SCHOOL HAPPENINGS
“High School Happenings” is a monthly rundown of cool events and activities at various high schools. We’ll ask our correspondents to write a description (100 words or less) of an upcoming event that reflects positively on their school and fellow students. If you have related photos, send those, too. We can’t guarantee we’ll publish everything, but we’ll publish as much as we can.

Here’s the list of due dates for “High School Happenings” submissions:

March Happenings Deadline: Friday, Feb. 24
April Happenings Deadline: Friday, March 23
May Happenings Deadline: Friday, April 27

HIGH SCHOOL STORIES: Real Students, Real Life
Edge is also launching a new blog written by our high school correspondents called “High School Stories: Real Students, Real Life.” We’re looking for students to share their experiences as they move through high school and prepare for college. How are you preparing for graduation? What are you looking for in a college? How are you coping with pressure from parents and teachers? What’s on your mind? Tell us about it in 300 words or less, and we may publish your story on Edge. There’s no deadline for submitting entries for High School Stories. When you have something written, send it to edge@gannon.edu and we’ll let you know if we’re able to publish it.
