1. The philosophy program is housed in the College of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences, providing opportunities to interact with students in many other disciplines.

2. Gannon’s faculty is affiliated with the American Philosophical Association, International Berkeley Society, American Maritain Association and the American Catholic Philosophical Association.

3. Students may choose to minor in philosophy to complement their major field of study.

4. Through Gannon’s graduate programs, philosophy majors can further their education in a number of disciplines, such as business administration or pastoral studies.

5.  Recently, “The Chronicle of Higher Education” reported that philosophy majors did significantly better on average on the standardized tests used as a basis for admission to graduate schools.
