If this title adage from William Shakespeare is true, then the members of the honors theatre society Alpha Psi Omega (APO) are vying for the lead roles.

First established at Fairmont State College, APO has been furthering the theatrical arts since 1925. Members of Gannon’s Kappa Beta cast – the fraternity uses theatre terms to refer to members and chapters – help with shows throughout the year and assist with service projects at the Erie Playhouse.

APO also hosts its own events, including an annual haunted house in the Schuster Theatre called Stage Fright and a variety of shows, such as the YouTube Tribute Show.

Membership is open to anyone, not just theatre majors. In fact, the current president, Ryann Beaumont, is a biology/pre-med major. If you’re a theatre major or a theatre lover, Alpha Psi Omega is the group to join.
