Hi Gannon University,

This is Saradha and Anna, the group leaders for the Guatemala ABST trip for Spring 2026. Our first day began under the arch at 1:30 a.m., and then we took the bus to the Buffalo airport. After going through TSA, we found out that our flight had been delayed from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. We were originally supposed to catch our connecting flight at 8:30 a.m. to Guatemala and arrive by 12:30 p.m.

However, things did not go as planned. Despite the changes, our team maintained a positive and adventurous attitude, encouraging and supporting one another throughout the day.

In the end, we took a 6:30 p.m. flight to Dallas, Texas, where we are staying tonight. The airline provided us with a hotel and food vouchers for the day. We went out to lunch, and everyone dozed off afterward. Later, we had dinner, enjoyed some tacos, and turned in for the night.

We are making the best of the situation, bonding, and getting to know each other better. We also saw some college students on our flight to Dallas who were enjoying themselves in hilarious ways, including wearing custom hats.
