It’s hard to believe that it’s October! You can definitely tell that it’s fall, but it’s still nice enough to walk around between classes.

As it is now the middle of the semester, most of my classes are getting ready for midterm exams. While I’m not too worried about any particular exam, I know that I’ll be spending a lot of time in front of the books over fall break.

This year, I’m planning on spending part of fall break on campus.  I like the atmosphere of Erie when there aren’t too many people around and it’ll be nice to have time to myself without worrying too much about classes and homework.

I’ll probably also use my time over fall break to get ahead in my classes. Once everything resumes on campus, I’ll be rehearsing for “Lysistrata” at the Schuster Theatre while helping get everything ready for Stage Fright and the Homecoming Parade.  I’m really excited to do my first Greek play and I can’t wait for the other events. Stage Fright is Alpha Psi Omega’s annual haunted house at the theatre and all of the plans for the weekend event sound really fun and really scary.  This year, APO is dancing again in the Homecoming Parade. It should be a lot of fun and hopefully we’ll bring trophies back like we did last year.

I’m also joining another on campus organization, the service sorority Gamma Sigma Sigma. I’m really excited to be a part of this organization. The main purpose of the group is to give back to the community, so I’m very happy to be joining them.

On top of all these fun things to do, I’m also still getting everything ready for my trip next semester. Everything is basically ready for me to leave for Paris, though I still have to apply for a visa. I’m getting my visa in December during Christmas break though, so I’ll be good to go in February.

Overall, this semester is going to continue being busy, but the good kind of busy. I can’t wait to see what else is in store for this semester and for this year.

Talk to you soon,

Sarah
