The  Lady Knights keep making history. Gannon narrowly defeated Tusculum  70-66 Tuesday night in a back-and-forth game that kept Gannon fans on the edge of their seats.  With the win, the women’s basketball team broke the NCAA Division II record for most overall wins in a season. The No. 1 Lady Knights also secured the NCAA Division II record for consecutive victories (37) in a single season.

Gannon faces No. 15 Emporia State tonight at 9:30 p.m. eastern time in the NCAA Division II Final Four at the St. Joseph Civic Arena in St. Joseph, Mo. The winner advances to the NCAA Division II Championship Game and will play the Franklin Pierce-Fort Lewis winner Friday, March 26 on ESPN2.

The contest can be seen live on ESPNU (Channel 15 on Gannon’s campus) and will also be broadcast in the Yehl Ballroom in Gannon’s Waldron Campus Center, where over two hundred Lady Knights fans gathered to watch Tuesday’s Elite Eight game.
