It seems like we are all trying to go back in time with  the #TBTs and #FBFs on Twitter and Instagram.  Why wouldn’t we though?  The 90s were a great era to be a child.  Recently, I found out that the radio station 104.3 has turned into a classic hip-hop station, which may I add, is the best thing that has ever happened to Erie radio and what has inspired this playlist.

I’m about to take you all on a trip back to the 90s and early 2000s.  The playlist I have put together contains only a few of the many great throwback songs from the 90s and 2000s.  For me, a lot of the throwback songs never get old.  It’s a nice change-up from the music that we hear today and gives us all a little bit of nostalgia.

Faves from the list:

“Show Stopper” – Danity Kane
I don’t know about all of you, but I jam out to this song with my friends on a regular basis.

“No Diggity” – Blackstreet
I’m pretty sure my mom jammed out to this song harder than I did.

“U Can’t Touch This” – MC Hammer
If you didn’t try to do this dance on a daily basis, were you even alive?  (I still can’t perfect this move, by the way.  I guess it would help if I had a little coordination).

“Mambo No. 5” – Lou Bega
This is the classic middle school dance song.  You still can’t go wrong with it.

“Ice Ice Baby” – Vanilla Ice
Try saying the title of this song without singing it. Yeah, I couldn’t either.

“Ignition Remix” – R. Kelly
This is the type of song where you stop what you’re doing to rap the whole thing.

“Gold Digger” – Kanye West
This will forever be one of my top three songs by Kanye. This one is just so easy to jam out to in the car.

“Dirt Off Your Shoulder” – Jay-Z
Classic Jay-Z.  That’s all.

“Fly” – Sugar Ray
Take me back to middle school summer pool parties. Please.

“Suga Suga” – Baby Bash
I was definitely introduced to this song by older friends when given a mix tape.  And yes, mixtapes are still cool.
