Keep calm and meditate! Experience the calming effect of meditation that people around the world use as a means to relieve stress or encounter God.

Interfaith Experience | Waldron 219
Join us for a gathering of the numerous faith traditions practiced by Gannon students to learn about and celebrate our common human dignity and the faith in God that bind us all together. This is a great opportunity to meet new people
and engage deeper conversations surrounding our faiths. We welcome all to this experience of togetherness in the Gannon community.

Reach out to our neighbors in this mini service project. Join staff and students from the Center for Social Concerns to make greeting cards for local nursing home residents and soup kitchen guests.

Come have lunch with your adviser and department faculty. It’s great fun while getting to meet other new students in your major plus get some giveaways specifically geared toward your college. Please see signs throughout the residence halls,

1:30 p.m. – 3 p.m. |Commuter Meeting | Zurn 104 | REQUIRED
This important meeting will show you what you can do to make the most of your Gannon experience! Get helpful information while getting to know other incoming students as well as upper-class commuters. Plan to stay on campus for Meet the Merchants, Commuter Open House and Playfair. A guaranteed great time!

2 p.m. & 4 p.m. | First Year Experience Play | Schuster Theatre
“INNOVATION PLAY” – How can we respond creatively to opportunities and challenges that we face during our first few weeks on campus? Members of the Kappa Beta cast of the Alpha Psi Omega honorary theater fraternity use improv
comedy to help provide positive suggestions on how to solve problems…and negative examples of what NEVER to do! Attendance at one of the showings is required for your first year seminar

2 p.m. – 4 p.m. | Meet the Merchants | Hammermill Center
Meet Erie community restaurants and businesses that accept GU Gold! Win valuable prizes, experience free food samples and gather merchandise!

4 p.m. – 6 p.m. | Commuter Corner Open House | Palumbo Center
Relax between events at the Commuter Corner, the “home” and prime hangout on campus for all commuters.

4:30 p.m. – 6 p.m. | Dinner | Beyer Hall Cafeteria/Club LaRiccia

6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. |Playfair | Friendship Green, (Rain Location: Yehl Alumni Room)
Playfair, a Preview GU favorite, is totally unlike anything else you have ever experienced. It’s entertainment! It’s fun! It’s the perfect way to make new campus friendships!

7:30 p.m. – 10 p.m. | Mission & Ministry Ice Cream Social | Friendship Green (Rain Location: Yehl Alumni Room)
Enjoy ice cream floats, live music, and the company of hundreds of Gannon students. This well-loved Gannon tradition is a great opportunity to meet your upperclassman peers!
