Monday, April 20: April is Distracted Driving Awareness month. Before driving, find a suitable radio station to listen to and silence your phone. Being aware of your surroundings while you’re driving will keep you and your passengers safer.

Tuesday, April 21: We all have something called “the junk drawer” where we put our miscellaneous items. Instead of cramming everything in a drawer, why not make a DIY trinket box? Students can make their own trinket boxes from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the piano lounge in Waldron.

Wednesday, April 22: It’s Earth Day! Unplug your devices, recycle and step outside to enjoy some of that fresh air!

  • Springtopia begins today with a kick-off event from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This event will be held at Friendship Green and offers free food and fun!

Thursday, April 23: A favorite among theater kids: Talk Like Shakespeare Day! Bust out that big book of Shakespearean insults or read a sonnet or two.

  • English Awards Night is at 7:30 p.m. in the Yehl Alumni Room. Totem 2015 will be released – come pick up your copy for free!
  • Schuster Theatre’s ‘Pygmalion’ starts tonight! You can catch the production at 8 p.m. in the Schuster Theatre. Visit the Facebook event page for additional dates and times.

Friday, April 24: Relay for Life will be held at the Recreation and Wellness Center from 1:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Stop by and support a great cause that aims to find the cure for cancer!

Saturday, April 25: Day of Caring begins at 8:00 a.m. in the Hammermill Center. Get a group together and give back to the community of Erie!

  •  “Cut the Crap and Get Things Done,” a lecture hoping to help students with organization and procrastination, will be held in Yehl Ballroom at 2:00 p.m. today. Get your organizational habits fine-tuned just before finals! Best of all, this event is free to all students.
