On Sunday, September 16, 2018 at 2:00 pm, Gannon University will welcome the Cambridge America Stage Tour to campus in the Schuster Theatre in Scottino Hall to perform The Tempest. Admission $10 / $5 with valid Gannon University ID.

The Tempest, underwritten by Gannon University’s Clemente Fund for Performing and Related Arts,  is the story of exiled wizard Prospero and his machinations to leave the island to which he has been confined. Featuring some of Shakespeare’s most fantastical characters, including Caliban and Ariel, this fantastical tale is sure to delight old and young, versed and novice alike. The show gives students on campus to see future British stars.

When asked about the show, Fr. Shawn Clerkin said, “We have hosted CAST numerous times in the past, and have always been impressed not only with the quality of their performance and production, but the passion with which they engage our students. There is something extraordinary when global distances and cultural barriers break down, and young theatre artists share experience, create together in workshops, thrill to one another’s performances, and create surprising friendships. We are still in touch with artists who visited Gannon University years ago, and look forward to the friendships which will be formed during their visit this week.”
