Monday was our first day of work with our Habitat partner in Bowling Green. We jumped into a restoration project on a townhome that will be provided to a family who was displaced by the December tornadoes. Iver, the project manager, explained that over 400 families were displaced and are still trying to recover from the natural disaster.
The first day on site involved painting ceilings, cleaning up cabinets and appliances, painting bedrooms and trim, and tearing up old flooring.
After a productive day at the project site, we ventured out to Insomnia Cookies for a late night snack.
