As a musician myself, I understand how crucial it can be for a University to offer a path for musicians. I think it is awesome that Gannon University now offers many different opportunities for its musically inclined students. From the concert band to the pep band, there is a place for everyone!

Pursuing Performance at Gannon

Whether you’re into theater or band, Gannon has a place for you! Either way you go, it’s a great way to meet new people and make life-long friends.

When I was in high school, I was part of the marching band for five years. I played three different instruments and became the drum major in my junior year. Marching band was one of the most fulfilling things I ever did in high school, and it is one of the things I miss the most. When I was a part of the Harbor Creek band, I got the chance to go to Disney World twice to march in parades in the parks. Even though many big things happened for me while I was in marching band, it’s the little things I miss the most. For example, cheering in the stands for the football team and playing stand tunes, going to band camp and drinking SO much water, running the same set a bazillion times through… and so many little things just like that. Even though Gannon doesn’t have a marching band, they do have a pep band, concert band, theater department, and mixed chorus.
