Do you like to talk about music and bands? Do you like to discuss the background and controversies associated with these bands and the members themselves? Then you might like being a part of Gannon Rocks.

Gannon Rocks is a club started by Nick Carneval and Dr. Megan Woller, assistant professor in the Fine Arts Program for those students who have an interest in bands, musicians, and their backgrounds and influence.

Vampire Weekend

I myself am a part of the group and I think that so far it is a really cool club to be a member of. I am someone who has always been interested in the behind the scenes aspect of music. So far we have talked about the alternative group Vampire Weekend. We plan on talking about the Red Hot Chili Peppers at the next meeting.

Anthony Kiedis of the Red Hot Chili Peppers

The group meets at 5 p.m. every other Monday in Room 308 in the Center for Communication and the Arts. We usually will pick a group, listen to a few albums, and do some research on their background so we can discuss them.

If you are interested in joining us you can email myself, Nick, or Dr. Woller for more information!
