Although it is only September, the beloved season of fall is right around the corner. Fall happens to be a favorite season of many, and frankly, how could you not enjoy the scent of pumpkin candles, freshly baked apple pie, and the chilly weather that makes it the perfect time to bust out your favorite fall sweaters? Once September is upon us I transition into full fall mode even though it is still practically 80 degrees outside. To kick off the autumn season I am going to share my favorite essentials that you need to get your hands on this year. Without further ado, go grab some apple cider or your favorite tea, light a nice fall candle, snuggle up with a warm blanket and get cozy!

Mugs:

Mugs are often a favorite decor/ kitchenware item for the fall time. Mugs are definitely one of my favorite things to have in the fall because this is the time of the year where I drink an abnormal amount of coffee and tea. A few of my favorite places to purchase mugs for the fall time are, Homegoods, Tj-Maxx, Marshalls, and of course Target. A mug, in my opinion, is one of the best ways to get inexpensive fall decor and even when you are not using it you can still have it displayed.

Scent:

Having fall scents, whether you like to burn candles like me, use room sprays or even a simple fall air freshener, is a great way to make the atmosphere feel even more like a nice autumn day. Bath and Body Works is a known favorite spot to pick up some fall scented candles and my favorite at the moment is pumpkin cupcake. I also picked up a few new fall room sprays from Target which are Cozy Autumn Cuddle and Cozy Cider Sipping, the best part, they were only one dollar and smell like fall in a bottle.

Food & Drinks:

Fall is the time for delicious food and beverages and just about pumpkin flavored anything. Pumpkin spice, chai, and caramel are the three shining stars when it comes to flavored drinks, whether that would be in a tea or coffee. A food favorite of mine are pumpkin pancakes with syrup or pumpkin butter on top of them. You can simply buy a box of the mix at Wegmans or Trader Joe’s, along with the pumpkin butter to add a dash of extra sweetness on top. One more food favorite are the Pillsbury Halloween cookies. These are a common favorite of most people, especially during the fall season.

Fashion & Beauty:

Moving onto my favorite category of the fall time, fashion and beauty. This is the season where fashion is by far at it’s best. My first fashion essential is any pair of ankle boots. I have bought a new pair every fall for the last few years so my collection is definitely growing. The ones that I have recently added to my assortment of fall shoes are a black pair of Chelsea ankle boots from Boohoo. These boots are a favorite of mine because they can spice up any fall outfit. My next fashion favorite of the fall time are knit cardigans. Wearing a cardigan is almost like wearing a blanket out in public so it has multipurpose functions. I recently picked up two new cardigans from Aerie and also Francesca’s. A beauty favorite of mine is the Freeman purifying and hydrating avocado and oatmeal clay mask. My skin starts to get a bit dry during the colder months and this product really helps to bring life back into my skin so it can look and feel its best.

Movies and T.V Shows:

Netflix is an essential just about every month of the year but especially during the Halloween season. A few things I love watching are American Horror Story, Halloween Town, Vampire Diaries, Pretty Little Liars, any of the Twilight movies, the Scream series, and The Conjuring. However, if you are looking to start a new series I highly recommend MTV’s show “Scream”. It is a take off the original Scream movies all compiled into a thrilling series. This is a show I could watch over and over again and I 10/10 recommend.

Those are all of my essentials for the fall time and what I believe makes fall the most outstanding season. There is no better start than gathering everything necessary so you can curl up with a cozy blanket and watch your favorite Halloween movies like you have been waiting to do all year!
