Our first day of service was great at the Father McKenna Center! We met with the men and talked with some of them one on one. We also met the director of services, Cortez. He shared his story with us and told us about the history of the center. After eating lunch with the men, we got to do an activity with some of them where we all wrote “where I’m from” poems and shared with each other. It was a really cool experience, and we’re all looking forward to more activities tomorrow! In the afternoon, we visited the Holocaust museum and walk around the capital to visit some of the monuments. It was great to see the city, and we’re excited to explore some more.
