Last spring the Office of Alumni Services began mailing small plush versions of Gannon’s mascot to graduates all over the world. The project, called the Golden Knight Quest, is meant to facilitate school pride through its widespread alumni network. An alumnus who receives a knight takes pictures – detailing its adventures at work, home or on vacation – before passing it on.

So far knights have been to Ohio, New York, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida and California. They’ve even traveled outside the U.S. to Tanzania, China and the Netherlands.

The quest will conclude during Alumni Homecoming and Reunion Weekend (Oct. 19-21), where awards for best photo, most miles traveled and more will be presented.
