“We first visited Bangkok, where we were able to tour a variety of temples including the Grand Palace, Wat Po, and Wat Arun. All of the different temples had their own beautiful and intricate designs! While in Bangkok, we also visited the Asiatique market where we embarked on a dinner cruise and further explored the city.

On the way from Bangkok to Pattaya, we were able to visit the Maeklong Railway Market and ride on a boat at the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. We were also able to visit a coconut sugar factory to see how different coconut products were made. Once we arrived at Pattaya, we watched the Tiffany’s Show, a Beauty Pageant that serves as a popular form of performing arts.

While in Pattaya, we also visited Koh Larn, an island off the coast, where we enjoyed a beautiful beach day!” – Julia Wonsettler

“We left Pattaya on day 6 and started to make our way north to Lopburi. On our way, we stopped at temples in Wat Yai Chai Mongkon and got to see beautiful golden Buddhas and a large reclining Buddha. When we arrived in Lopburi, we got to see the monkey temple.

There were so many monkeys in the town! They were all over the shops and would approach people looking for food. The next day, we left Lopburi and headed for Sukothai, making a stop at Phasan River. In Sukothai we spent some time at the pool and got dinner in the town.

The next day we took a trip to the Sukhothai Historic Park and toured it with a bike ride! Now we’re headed north to Chang Mai!” – Cait O’Rourke
