Gannon students learn through unique classroom experiences. In the Fall of 2010, Dr. Bomberger‘s Minority Literature class produced video interviews of prominent African Americans in the Erie community. Graduate English students Jessica Ciccone and Rabab Attrabulsi interviewed Celestine Davis, a native of Mississippi who moved to Erie 58 years ago.
Ms. Davis’ experience in the racially divided South is a reminder of how far our country has come. Please enjoy this video and hear Ms. Davis’ story in her own words.
Check out another video from Minority Literature. In “Hope for Times Like These,” Joan Brown Campbell recalls Dr. Martin Luther King’s visit to her Cleveland church in the 1960s.
