It’s July now. It seems like the time is flying by during this summer vacation. Before I know it, I will be back up at school doing everything again. Now, I know that we don’t have classes during summer, at least I’m not taking any, but I still have lots of stuff I have been doing in preparation for next semester.

Being part of a good amount of clubs and organizations, especially as an executive board member, means that I have a lot to do and a lot to get done quickly. These past two months, I have received more emails than I have ever received before. Stuff needs done, stuff needs to be looked at, stuff needs to be prepared and it all has to be done immediately. I’m sitting here thinking, “Hey guys, it’s summer, relax!” Sadly, I know that isn’t the case, but I wish it was sometimes. I’m running around so much during most of the year that I wish time would slow down during the summer.

I guess that gives me even more of a reason to be prepared for the semester. Knowing how much I have to do during the summer is just an indication of what it will be like during the year. I’m the type of person who works really hard to get my stuff done, so that I can just relax at the end. Unfortunately, things can’t always be like that and sometimes the pressure to complete tasks is just a constant force that never goes away.

Those are the times when I wish time would slow down so that I can catch up. The saying, “There aren’t enough hours in the day,” definitely is true.

Maybe I should just build my own time machine. Yeah. That will work.

That way, I can just boot up my time machine whenever I need some extra time. I feel like it would be something out of Back to the Future. The worst part about all of this is that I know that the work needs to be done and I just have to put the time into it.

Time seriously needs to slow down.
