Doesn’t matter if it’s the scheduled day in the Fall Semester or pop-up days and events year round, Gannon’s Invitation to Volunteer Everywhere (GIVE Day)’s spirit remains the same. This week, Gannon’s physical therapy doctorate (DPT) students in Ruskin, Florida shared GIVE events on their Instagram page.

Give Day Part 1: First year Gannon University DPT students volunteering for #giveday. They worked with the organization, Haven of Hope. Haven of Hope is a non-profit volunteer-driven, faith-based support program for inmates recently released from incarceration. Our students helped by mowing the lawn, trimming trees, and other yard work that needed done.
Give Day Part 2: Students volunteering in the community. Our students helped a retired couple whose wife had a second stroke, move unwanted items to Goodwill.
Give Day Part 3: Gannon DPT students volunteering at the Inspire Equine Therapy Program in Clearwater, Fl. They were able to work with children with disabilities through therapeutic riding and other equine related programs. They also helped with hard work around the farm.
