Fresh off of their win of the MTV Video Music Award for “Best New Artist”, multi-platinum selling band DNCE with special guest CVBZ are coming to campus April 14. (Thanks Activities Programming Board!)

All About the Band

DNCE was formed in the summer of 2015.

Their debut double-platinum single, “Cake By the Ocean” launched them quickly into fame. Frontman Joe Jonas, former member of the beloved Jonas Brothers, assembled DNCE. The bassist and keyboardist Cole Whittle  co-founded the band Semi-Precious Weapons.  South Korean bred guitarist JinJoo in DNCE previously toured with the Jonas Brothers, Cee Lo Green, and Charli XCX. Drummer Jack Lawless previously toured with Night Terrors of 1927, and Soft Swells on the road.

Standout Tunes

Everyone of course knows the breakout single, “Cake by the Ocean,” however DNCE has released other smash hits as well.

The music video for the single, “Toothbrush” amassed over 68 million Youtube/VEVO views as it starred supermodel Ashley Graham. This music video also received widespread critical praise from Entertainment Weekly, People, and Rolling Stone. Furthermore, their music video for their song, “Body Moves” starring model Charlotte McKinney has over 25 million views.

The Event

The concert starts at 9pm and will last until approximately 11:30pm on Saturday, April 14th. It’s location is Gannon University’s Hammermill Center located at 620 Peach Street, Erie, PA 16541.
