As a new college student you will experience many changes in your life and this orientation will help answer your initial questions and concerns. Looking to get involved on campus and stay connected with what’s happening?  engageU is your platform to centralize, organize and maximize your student involvement opportunities at Gannon based on your personal interests.  Learn how to browse student club and organization profiles, and explore the virtual flyer board and campus news feed to find out what’s happening around campus. engageU also allows you to track and record your participation and volunteer hours on your engage U transcript. Seating is limited to the first 40 students for each session and location.  Sessions begin every thirty minutes between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.

Come enjoy a free lunch, get to know other commuters, and find out what you can do to make the most out of your Gannon experience. We will share important information with you, help you get to know each other more, and answer your burning questions. There will be time to visit the Student Success Center’s open house and look for your classrooms, too, so be sure to bring your schedule. Head out to IgKNIGHT afterward to start exploring all the great organizations you can join.

2 – 3:30 p.m. | Sweets & Success: Student Success Center (SSC) Open House | Palumbo 1025
Enjoy treats while you compete at games set up around the Student Success Center. The friendly faces of the staff will be there to welcome you and serve cotton candy and popcorn while you compete to win prizes. Stay until the end to find your classes which will be departing from the front of the SSC.

2:30 – 3:30 p.m. | Find Your Classes | Departs from in front of the Student Success Center | Palumbo 1025
Tours will depart from the Student Success Center. Meet up with upperclassmen at the designated meeting spots for each academic building to find your classrooms for the fall semester. Make sure to bring your class schedule. You can also use this time to purchase your books at the Gannon University Bookstore.

3:30 – 5 p.m. | IgKNIGHT Activities Fair | AJ’s Way and Friendship Green
Your college experience outside the classroom begins here. Ignite your inner leader as you enter into a network of 100+ possibilities for student engagement. Explore these opportunities and sign up for the ones that will help you explore your interests, challenge yourself and shape the college experience you want to create for yourself. Both new and returning Gannon Knights are welcome to join this festival, to connect with one another and get fired up for the school year! Amazing activities include:

Join members from the Activities Programming Board for “Buck Night” at the Erie SeaWolves baseball game.  Enjoy hot dogs, popcorn and Pepsi beverages for just $1.00.  Tickets for the game will be given out on a first come, first served basis on Friendship Green at 6:30 p.m.  Game time is 7:05 p.m.
• 8 – 11 p.m. | Target Take-over | Buses depart from the Gannon Arch every 30 minutes
Forgot something at home? Hop on the bus at the Gannon Arch and head to Target. Busses will depart every 30 minutes from 8 – 10:30 p.m. Grab some free snacks, enter to win prizes and pick up items to make your room complete. Watch out for Target gift card giveaways during other PreviewGU events.
• 7:30 – 10:30 p.m. | Netflix Binge | Wehrle, Finegan & North Hall Lobbies
Sit back and relax. Grab some friends & meet in a lobby of your choosing to watch some of your favorite shows or movies. You will be met by an RA from the building. Popcorn will be provided.
• 9 – 11 p.m. | Movie Knight | The Knight Club
Come enjoy the Gremlins movie and some popcorn while you hang out with your new friends. All are welcome!

#previewGU is an opportunity for new students to explore all of the wonderful things Gannon University has to offer. Students will have the opportunity to start building lasting relationships with peers as well as meet upperclassmen, faculty and staff members who can assist in shaping the college experience by introducing them to the many programs, clubs and organizations available to you!
