How are you going to stand out in a crowd of applicants when it comes time to start applying for jobs? Over the summer at my internship, I learned a lot of useful tips and suggestions to help make you stand out.

When it comes to LinkedIn, be thorough. Reflect on what you really did, and be able to articulate your experience.

Look at LinkedIn of people whose job you could see yourself having. See what they’ve done to get where they are today.

Make sure you can back up what you put on your resume!

A lot of time, it’s who you know. Make connections with people and they may be able to help you get your foot in the door.

Before the interview, DO YOUR RESEARCH. Go into the interview prepared.

Have questions prepared for the interview! When you’re asked if you have any questions, have at least one question.

When you’re being asked questions, tailor them to your audience. Involve their brand into your answers.
I know looking for a job is stressful. You want the company to like you and hire you right away. While this may not always happen, if you follow a few of these tips, you will stand out, and maybe even get hired!
