In the weeks following Thanksgiving Break, Gannon transforms from college campus to winter wonderland. Trees, wreaths and lights decorate the campus from top to bottom, accompanying the snow that comes with the winter weather. And there may be nowhere on campus more beautifully decorated than Old Main, one of Gannon’s landmark buildings and home to […]
Every year on campus, Gannon participates in Hunger and Homelessness Week, a week on campus to raise awareness for those in need in our community. This year, Gannon joined hands with Catholic Charities and Second Harvest Food Bank to create a great new experience for students and the community. Each on campus organization had the […]
Community is one aspect of college life that Gannon University treasures. There are many clubs and organizations on campus to which students can belong to find their college family. These organizations are based on common interests, including sports, the arts and religion. There is also religion-focused housing where you can choose to live after your freshman […]
Earlier this month I had the opportunity to go to Westminster College to participate in the Pennsylvania Communication Association’s annual conference. I, along with two other theatre students, went and talked to a panel of professors about our experience at the International Fringe Theatre Festival.
The One Green World Cafe is a new and exciting place to bring together international and local students. This student organized shop was at first a dream; starting as a desk where coffee was sold in Zurn. The desk soon became a stand, and now Gannon has a new (old) building to add to the […]

Our teacher, Lori Steadman, is teaching us about the effects of light, having natural frames for pictures and finding textures.
I am back from my experience at the Fringe Festival! I could not have prepared myself for all the opportunities that were in front of me. Being able to perform on an international stage in front of an audience filled with people from all over the world was amazing.
What am I doing today? Nothing much… Just getting on a plane and flying to Scotland. Yup. Scotland. Today, I leave for the International Collegiate Theatre Festival, part of the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland. I’m really excited about the trip — read on and you’ll see why!
Keeping myself busy this summer is not really hard to do. Most of my time is being spent in rehearsals for the two Shakespeare Summer Nights shows, “Richard III” and “Return to the Forbidden Planet.” These shows will be performed the third and fourth weekend of July, so if you’re interested in seeing a free […]
Today, we’re launching another new blog on Edge. “Picture This” belongs to our photo and assistant video editor, Allison Kessler, a junior theatre and communication arts major. I just finished my sophomore year here at Gannon, and wow, it went fast. Like last summer, I am staying in Erie because there is so much more […]
