Happy New Year! Can you believe it’s already 2011? Well, I hope you all enjoyed your new years celebrations and are ready to jump back into the second half of the school year. The spring semester always tends to speed by, so the first few days of the New Year present a perfect time to […]
It’s been a privilege and an honor to serve as Edge’s first editor-in-chief. I’m delighted to pass the torch to my colleague and friend, Nicole Dohoda – her creativity, passion and keen editing eye will help take this blog to the next level. You’ll still hear from me on occasion, but I’ll be devoting most […]
The year is coming to a rapid close, and it’s nearly time to start reflecting on what we’ve learned. This can be a significant question. What did I learn in my classes? I’ll find out when I take my finals. What did I learn from the shows I’ve performed at the Schuster Theatre? More than […]
Running may be one of the easiest and least expensive ways to stay in shape – yet, for some, one of the hardest activities to gather the motivation to start. As a self-proclaimed non-runner, I found it hard to believe anyone had the desire to move that quickly in a non-descript direction when not being chased. […]
Ask anyone who’s ever been to a concert – there is truly nothing in the world like live music. Dim lights, pumping sound and tons of friends around is a winning combination. Life can be scary, that’s an undeniable fact we all have to face sometimes. But the thing that makes that a little easier is realizing that that ‘scary’ feeling can sometimes push us in directions of progress and change.
Achieving peace with your college decision can be very difficult. Some schools offer very specific, career-based courses that are designed to fast track you into that one career path that logically follows. Other schools give you a vast platter of subjects to sample over four years with the intention of you finding something you’d like […]
I’ve been thinking about the timeline of a high school senior, and I’ve been figuring out where you might be in your college search process. Cause I’m nice like that. At this point, you’ve probably already sent in your applications (hopefully Gannon was one of them!), and you’re waiting anxiously for acceptance letters (Good luck […]
