The 2017 Spring Semester is now underway here at Gannon University; have you been living up to your New Year’s Resolutions?

Good for U – Gannon University’s wellness initiative – wants you to forget the hype of New Year’s Resolutions, and set a goal instead!

A New Year’s Resolution is typically an idea or desire that occurs once a year around the first of January, with little regard for how to see it through; these resolutions may be all the hype from January to February, but how often do you actually stick to it? That’s where setting a goal is different. Goal setting, because it requires a structured plan, gives you a real way to succeed in accomplishing what you set out to do. You don’t have to wait until the ball drops on New Year’s to make a change; each and every day you have the opportunity to work at being the best version of you!

Gannon University’s Recreation and Wellness Center wants to see you succeed in reaching your goal of becoming a better version of yourself this year, and is offering many opportunities to help you along the way.

This January, the RWC is offering a special on all personal training packages! With the purchase of any personal training package, you get your choice of two free half hour sessions or one free hour session. Packages are available to students, faculty and staff, as well as alumni and the community at very affordable pricing.

Jeremy Santarelli, Gannon University’s Recreation and Wellness Center Fitness Supervisor and ACE Certified Personal Trainer, says that there is no better time than right now to start building a better you.

“There is no time like the present to become a better you. Whether you are just starting out, or an experienced athlete, just remember everyone needs a trainer,” Santarelli said. “Even the Steelers very own Antonio Brown has a trainer to hold him accountable. Why not start today?”

The Recreation and Wellness Center will also be hosting its annual Wellness Fair, coming up on February 7th. Follow us on Twitter @GannonRWC, Facebook @GannonUniversityRWC, and Instagram @gannon.rwc for important updates.
