Looking out at the Lake Erie bayfront at sunset is a beautiful thing. Being able to take in this view while listening to some great music makes it even better. This is the premise behind Eight Great Tuesdays, a weekly concert series that takes place during the last few weeks of summer at the amphitheater next to the lake. Every Tuesday in July and August you can get together with a group of friends to see a free show and relax before the stress of classes begins. Even if you don’t know the artists, you can still have a great time and maybe find a new favorite. You can also get food and other free things from the many vendors that sponsor the concerts (including GU).

Don’t worry about transportation if you don’t have a car- the Erie Port Authority offers a shuttle service that picks up passengers just a few blocks from campus. You can catch a ride both there and back with no hassle and at no cost.

Rick Magee is scheduled to appear at the last concert of the summer tonight.

You can find more information about the concerts here.
