Whether you’re an expert in all things William Shakespeare or have only dabbled in his work, you’ll find Gannon’s shakeXperience worthwhile. The weeklong theatre camp for high school students is put on by the Department of Theatre, Communication and Fine Arts and annually takes place in July.

Participants collaborate in workshops in performance, text analysis, movement, music, history and improvisation. They also rehearse Shakespearean scenes and monologues, which are performed at the week’s culminating shakeXperience Showcase.

The camp costs just $200, which covers tuition, housing in a residence hall and meals in the cafeteria — a steal for those who’d like a taste of life as a Gannon theatre major.
