It’s that time of year again, when you find yourself running around looking for holiday gifts for friends and family. Usually, I have lots of questions like, “What does this person want?” “What don’t they already have?” “People like socks, right?” Don’t get stumped trying to find creative gifts this holiday season. Here are some of my favorites:
1. Schrödinger’s Cat Executive Decision Maker
Ask your question, slide open the door and see your decision solidify before you. The cat will be alive (which we interpret as a “yes”) or dead (or “no”). Not exactly the most practical gift, I’ll admit, but if you’re looking for something that’ll get a laugh, this is it.

Sure, this gift will please “Anchorman” fans, but what about everyone else? “They’ve done studies, you know. Sixty percent of the time, it works every time.”

Know someone who likes Harry Potter? Of course you do! Do they also like to eat? The answer to that is also probably yes. They’ll be able to whip up all sorts of Harry Potter-themed treats with this handy cookbook.
“Protect ya neck” – or ya loved one’s neck – from the elements with this Wu-Tang-inspired scarf.
6. “William Shakespeare’s Star Wars” by Ian Doescher
The teaser is out for the new movie! You and your friends can stop hyperventilating over how great it looks and instead dive into this Old English adaptation of the classic tale. Choose from episodes four, five and six.
“Making a fist and checking you twice,” gonna show them who owns this ice, Santa Claus is coming to town. Grab this sweet hockey shirt and bodycheck your way right onto the nice list.
A painstakingly detailed breakdown of the instrumentation of Beatles songs, with the parts played by John, Paul, George, and Ringo all broken out in color-coordinated lines. You could stare at it for hours and still probably not make sense of it, but it makes for a cool wall decoration.
“Holy holidays, Batman!” What fan of the caped crusader wouldn’t want their very own bat-signal?
